The Sunflower Declaration – a call to action

The Sunflower Declaration is a call to action to protect human rights defenders at risk. Together with last year’s Nobel laureates, civil society organisations, foundations, universities, human right defenders, and individuals from around the world, the NHC has signed the declaration.

The people who are defending our common rights, need our support and protection!

The Sunflower Declaration is a call to action to protect human rights defenders at risk, with concrete recommendations to governments, multilateral organizations, businesses, cities, and universities. The declaration was written together with Nobel Peace Prize laureates 2022; Center for Civil Liberties, Memorial, and Viasna on behalf of Ales Bialiatsksi, together with human rights organizations. 31 August it is presented and signed in Oslo at the Nobel Peace Conference HUMAN RIGHTS HEROES.
