Csilla coordinates our effort in strengthening civil society in Eastern- and Central Europe
She is the contact point for Norwegian civil society organizations under the EEA and Norway Grants. Csilla was born in Romania and has long experience from living and studying at the confluence of Romanian and Hungarian cultures in Transylvania. She started working with us in 2008 as our coordinator of human rights education projects.
“I didn’t think that we would be taking so many steps backwards in Europe. Defending fundamental rights has become more of an uphill fight than ever. Nevertheless, working with so many dedicated people gives hope and inspiration.”
Before joining the NHC, Csilla worked with adult immigrants to Norway, designing and teaching language and society courses. She has also experience as a research assistant in political science and as a kindergarten assistant.
She holds a Bachelor in pedagogy, literature and languages from Sibiu, Romania and a Master of Philosophy in Peace and Conflict Studies from the University of Oslo, Norway.
